Canton Road Closure Issued In Conjunction with Rally on Ridge 

Due to the 7th Annual Rally on Ridge community event that is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, on Ridge Road in Canton, MI, the Wayne County Department of Public Services has issued Temporary Road Closure Permit C-52965 ordering the following:  

  • Effective Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., Ridge Road from Cherry Hill Road to Roanoake Avenue will be closed.  

 This temporary road closure will be in effect until Ridge Road returns to normal traffic operations post-event.  Motorists are advised to avoid this area for the duration of the closure order and to seek alternate routes. 

 The 7th Annual Rally on Ridge will be held on Saturday, July 24 from 4-9 p.m. at Cherry Hill School, located at 50440 Cherry Hill Road, as well as in Preservation Park, located at 500 N. Ridge Road, offering a festive evening of food, fun, music, and more to benefit the Canton Farmers Market.

What is Rally on Ridge?

Area residents are invited to attend the Annual Rally on Ridge at Cherry Hill School for a festive evening of gourmet local eats, brought in exclusively for this event, live music, food trucks, lawn games, beer garden and more all to benefit the Canton Farmers Market.

Why Rally?

A portion of the proceeds collected from food vendor sales during this special fundraiser will benefit the Canton Farmers Market.  The market continues to expand its offerings during Market hours, which are held every Sunday, rain or shine, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May through October.

Where Do We Rally?

Cherry Hill School (50440 Cherry Hill Road) expanding the beer garden area to encompass the food trucks. You will now be able to take your drinks with you while you visit the food trucks!
