Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What time is the Summit open?
A: Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday & Sunday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Q: Do I need to bring a lock?
A: Yes, we highly recommend to lock your belongings. Locks are also available for rent and purchase at the Front Desk. To rent a lock, a photo ID is needed in exchange for the lock rental.
Q: Are there lockers available?
A: Yes, all locker rooms throughout the facility are equipped with lockers for member/guest use that require a lock. There are also electronic lockers at the entrance of the Fitness Center & Gymnasium that use a 4 digit pin of your choice.
Q: Does the Summit provide towels?
A: Towels are not provided; members and guests are encouraged to bring their own. Towels are also available for purchase at the Front Desk.
Q: Do I need to bring my own sporting equipment?
A: You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment. The following equipment is available for rent from the Front Desk with a valid Driver's License or photo ID: Locks, Basketballs, Wallyball, Volleyball, and Racquets.
Q: Does the Summit provide child care?
A: Yes, Kids' Corner offers drop in child care for up to two hours per day (additional fees apply). Discounted pricing is available for Summit Members. Please reference our Kids' Corner information and pricing.
Q: What is the minimum age to be at the Summit alone?
A: Children can be unaccompanied by a parent or guardians at the age of 12. (Please note these access restrictions)
Q: What is the minimum age to be in the Fitness Center alone?
A: Students ages 12 to 17 are allowed in the Fitness Center or in a fitness class after completing a fitness orientation with Summit staff that is signed by a parent or guardian. Students ages 12 to 13 must also be accompanied by an actively involved parent/guardian in the Fitness Center or fitness class. Inquire at the Front Desk for more information.
Q: When can I bring my children / grandchildren to swim?
A: Parent/Tot & Open Swim times are available for Summit members and guests to accompany minors in the Aquatic Center. Times are currently listed on our Aquatic Schedule.
Q: When are children allowed to swim in the pool alone?
A: All students/children under the age of 12 must pass a swim test to be in the water unaccompanied by an adult. Swim test requirements include: Swimming 25 yards and treading water for one minute. Children unable to pass the swim test must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the water.
Q: How do I reserve the racquetball court?
A: All reservations must be done online. More details and directions can be found at the Front Desk.
Q: When is the gymnasium available for open basketball?

Q: Where can I find up to date schedules?
A: All schedules can be found on the Schedules and Amenities page, as well as on the Summit on the Park Mobile App, or at the Front Desk
Q: What kind of classes and activities do you have for children and families?
A: The Summit offers a variety of classes and programs for all ages. Check out our Family Opportunities and all classes and programs in the Discover Brochure. Printed copies of Discover Brochure can also be picked up at the Front Desk.
Q: Do I have to check-in every time I come in?
A: Yes, upon each visit you will be required to check in using: first and last name, membership or pass number, or the Summit on the Park app (which is available on both the Google Play store and Apple's App store)
Q: Can I put my membership on hold?
A: Membership extensions will only be issued for medical reasons with a signed Doctor's note.
Q: Can I try the Summit for free?
A: One-Week Free Trial Membership option is valid for Canton Residents only who have not used the Summit on the Park within the past year. Interested individuals must be able to provide valid proof of address.
Q: Can I buy a membership online?
A: Yes, all of our membership options can be found on our Membership Options page
Family packages will not be available for purchase online.
Q: Can I be refunded for my membership?
A: Memberships are nontransferable and nonrefundable.
Q: May I bring a guest with me to the Summit?
A: Yes, guests may purchase a daily visit pass according to their residency status. Guest pass options and pricing can be found on the Membership Options page

The mobile app provides features such as notifications of classes, programs and events as well as cancellations, facility schedules, membership promotions and appreciation events. Inclement Weather Policy:
If the Plymouth / Canton School District closes due to inclement weather during the school year (typically due to winter weather conditions), all Leisure Services Department programs / classes held prior to 4 p.m. will be canceled. For Leisure Service programs / classes that begin after 4 p.m., a determination to cancel will be made no later than 2 p.m. that day.
